METHYMNAEOS DRY WHITE

Highest Accolade: Gold medal at the Balkans International Wine Competition.
Varietal Composition: 100% Chidiriotiko grapes.
Certifications: Protected Geographical Indication Lesvos, Organic Wine.

Characteristics: Hay colored. Bouquet typical of the red Chidiriotiko grape in blanc de noirs processing, combining light muscat with flowers and citrus fruit. Delightful, fresh taste of pear giving way to volcanic minerality, expressed as a sherry-like, sweetish finish intertwined with saltiness. Made with a red grape, this wine ages longer and has more body and depth than most whites, which are, of course, made with white grapes.

Serving Suggestions: As a fuller-bodied white, this is rather versatile wine. It may be served with anything from smoked goods, seafood and white confections to spicy Asian cuisine, and even with lamb or goat, since the wine’s body washes away the strong aftertaste of such meats.
